A weakened studio structure dating from the forties was asked to be demolished and rebuilt in 2003 to accommodate new stage equipment. The renovation also led to the expansion of the foyer and the refurbishment of the washrooms.

The new angled entrance welcomes users in the foyer now abundantly illuminated with natural light. Plywood floor and walls give users the freedom to assemble stage equipment in the studio.

By locating the mechanical and technical spaces on the second floor, it cleared the overloaded wings therefore increasing the handling surface. The spacious foyer is now more convenient to accommodate crowds and exhibitions.
