The vision behind the YMCA design was to create a connection between the exterior environment and interior sport installations. The complex is organized around two crossing axis flooded with natural light coming through the curtain walls. The visual contact with exterior is also felt on the second floor in the fitness room and the small gym.

The interior articulation is simple. Spaces generate drama. As for the exterior, the building is detailed with a typical institutional brick of the region. Those massive volumes blend successfully to the huge glass plans. The result is a mix of classic and contemporary.
